Explosive detection dog



Goal:
This course provides all basic knowledge to prepare a student to work as an explosive detection dog handler

Knowledge/Experience:
Basic dog handler

Length:
10 days (including bomb-scout ImprovisedExplosive Devices)

Number of students:
minimum 3 - maximum 6 students.

Short introduction on the course:
During the course the dog handler is taught how to respond and react during a search for Improvised Explosive Devices. This includes using all tools available including his dog,mirror-sets, laser lights, MAG-lights and more. He will be taught to work as a team-member (buddy-system). The student is trained to deploy his explosive detection dog and how to respond in a safe way when encountering an Improvised Explosive Device. Additionally the student is trained to collect all necessary information on the scene and how to report it in a proper format to the Police and EOD. During this course one of the largest collection of ammunition training models in the world will be available for training purpose

Summary:
After completion of the course the handler will be able to execute and finalise an EID search on a professional level, with or without a explosive detection dog
